With over three decades of experience in education, Riyo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table. Throughout her career, Riyo has held leadership and curriculum development positions and has taught at all levels of education from elementary school to university, in Canada, Japan, and the United States.
As the former Principal of an international school in Tokyo, Riyo is deeply committed to educational innovation and empowerment of students. She was instrumental in expanding a “double-diploma” program, and is excited to continue this work as a member of the OVS team.
In addition to her work in education, Riyo is a Governor with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan. This role allows her to build connections and foster relationships between Canada and Japan.
